Fried Apples (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 5–6 tart apples, about 2 lbs, peeled, seeds removed, and cut into thick slices
02 - 4 tablespoons of butter

→ Sweet & Spices

03 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
04 - Packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup
05 - A small pinch of salt

→ Keep Apples Fresh

06 - Juice from one lemon or store-bought lemon juice

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the apples, slice them into wedges about 1/2 inch thick, and core them. Drizzle some lemon juice onto the slices and gently mix to stop browning while doing other prep.
02 - On medium heat, melt the butter in a sturdy skillet. Wait until it bubbles and smells wonderful.
03 - Toss the apple slices into the pan, sprinkle with cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and brown sugar. Stir well to make sure each piece gets coated.
04 - Cover the pan and cook for around 15 minutes. Stir every now and then until the apples turn soft, caramel-colored, and smell irresistible.
05 - Once tender and ready, turn off the heat. Serve warm on its own, or pair with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream.

# Notes:

01 - These delicious fried apples work great as a comforting dessert or even a breakfast treat.
02 - Try adding a sprinkle of nutmeg or a drizzle of honey for a fun twist before serving.
