Easy Ground Turkey Rice (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 pound ground turkey
02 - 2/3 cup dry white rice (makes about 2 cups cooked)
03 - 1 tbsp olive oil

04 - 1 tsp fish sauce
05 - 1 tbsp chili paste
06 - 3 minced garlic cloves
07 - 1 tsp sesame oil
08 - 1.5 tbsp soy sauce with less salt
09 - 1 tbsp ginger paste or fresh grated ginger

→ Toppings (Optional)

10 - Green onions, sliced
11 - Hot chili peppers, sliced
12 - Peanuts, chopped
13 - Chili oil
14 - Hot sauce (your favorite)
15 - Sesame seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the rice in a pot or rice cooker following the package directions until it's soft and ready.
02 - Warm olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add turkey, break it up as you go, and cook thoroughly for 8-10 minutes.
03 - Pour in garlic, soy sauce, ginger, chili paste, fish sauce, and sesame oil. Stir and simmer for a minute or two until you can smell the aroma.
04 - Scoop rice into two bowls. Top each with turkey mixture and your favorite garnishes from the list.

# Notes:

01 - Try adding a fried egg on top for more protein.
02 - Toss in some chopped veggies to make it extra wholesome.
