# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound breakfast sausage
02 - 4 cups frozen tater tots
03 - 2 cups milk
04 - 3 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
05 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper as needed

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the baking instructions on the tater tots package to set your oven. Lay them out evenly over a baking sheet and bake them until they turn crispy and golden.
02 - Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until it crumbles nicely. Remove most of the grease but keep about 2 tablespoons in the pan to prepare the gravy.
03 - Add the flour into the sausage bits and grease, stirring it for a couple of minutes to get rid of the raw flour flavor. Gently pour in the milk, stirring the whole time to keep it smooth. Let it cook until it thickens up. Sprinkle on some salt and black pepper for seasoning.
04 - Share the crispy tater tots into serving bowls. Pour the creamy sausage gravy on top. If you want, throw on some extras like green onions, cheese, or a fried egg for a boost of taste and texture.
