02 - One pound (450g) of shrimp with tails off, cleaned
03 - 8 ounces (225g) of sausage, cut in rounds

→ Flavor & Sauce

04 - 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
05 - 3 tablespoons of olive oil
06 - 4 garlic cloves, chopped small
07 - Adjust salt and pepper as you like

→ Extras for Serving

08 - Chopped parsley, if you want
09 - A few lemon slices, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Clean the shrimp and leave the tails on if you prefer. Chop broccoli into manageable pieces and slice the sausage thinly.
02 - Take a large skillet and heat up one tablespoon of oil. Cook the sausage slices until crispy and browned, about 5-7 minutes, then take them out and set aside.
03 - In the same pan, pour in an extra tablespoon of olive oil and toss in the broccoli. Cook for about 5-6 minutes, keeping it tender yet firm. Season lightly, remove, and put aside.
04 - Use the skillet again to add the shrimp. Put in salt and pepper, and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side, then take them off the heat.
05 - Melt your butter in a small pan over medium heat. Once melted, add the garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes until it smells sweet and looks golden.
06 - Return the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli to the skillet. Pour the buttery garlic sauce over everything and mix so all the pieces are coated well.
07 - Serve right away, adding chopped parsley or a little lemon squeeze if you’d like.

# Notes:

01 - You can serve this dish over cooked rice, pasta, or even cauliflower rice for a lighter option.
02 - Spicy andouille or smoky kielbasa sausage tastes fantastic here.
03 - A splash of white wine adds more punch when making the butter sauce.
