# Ingredients:

01 - 1 sheet of puff pastry (homemade or from the store).
02 - A couple tablespoons of white sugar (for a sweeter option).
03 - Cheese and fresh herbs (for a savory twist).
04 - 1 tablespoon of warm, melted butter.
05 - 1 egg, optional, for brushing.
06 - A few tablespoons of chocolate spread or fruit jam (if needed).
07 - 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese (optional).
08 - Optional herbs like thyme or rosemary.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F. Roll out the pastry to about 12 by 10 inches on a surface lightly dusted with flour.
02 - Cut heart shapes out of the dough using a knife or cookie cutter.
03 - For sweet treats, add some chocolate or jam. For savory bites, place herbs or cheese in the center of each heart.
04 - Fold over the edges, leaving a little border. You can pinch them to make a ruffled look.
05 - Brush the tops with an egg wash or melted butter. Put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
