# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Batter

01 - 1 cup butter, softened
02 - 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
03 - 2¼ cups plain flour
04 - ½ cup white sugar
05 - ½ cup packed brown sugar
06 - ¾ teaspoon salt
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 2 large eggs, at room temperature
09 - 1½ cups chocolate chips (a mix of regular and mini)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and cover a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, stir together the baking soda, salt, and flour. Put this aside for later.
03 - Beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with a mixer for 1-2 minutes, until it’s fluffy and light.
04 - Blend in the eggs and vanilla, being careful not to overmix.
05 - Slowly add the dry mix and stir until all the flour disappears. Gently mix in the chocolate chips.
06 - Scoop dough, about 2 tablespoons each, onto the tray with a 2-3 inch gap between them. Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden on the edges.
07 - While they’re still warm, cut each cookie into heart shapes using a cutter. Let them rest on the tray for 5-7 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.

# Notes:

01 - Room temperature ingredients work best
02 - No need to chill the dough
03 - You can freeze these up to 3 months
