Cheesy Garlic Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread Layer

01 - One loaf of Italian or French bread (roughly 14 oz)

→ Butter and Garlic Spread

02 - 1/2 cup of softened salted butter
03 - 3–4 minced garlic cloves (or a tablespoon of garlic powder)
04 - A teaspoon of optional Italian herbs
05 - Pepper and salt, added as you like

→ Cheese Layer

06 - 1/2 cup of finely grated Parmesan cheese
07 - 1 cup of mozzarella, shredded

→ Final Touch

08 - Chopped fresh parsley for decoration

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven up to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper for no-mess cooking.
02 - Take the loaf and slice it down the middle to make two equal halves. Put these on the lined tray with the inside parts facing up.
03 - Blend softened butter, garlic (or garlic powder), optional Italian herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Keep stirring until combined evenly.
04 - Spread the butter mixture generously over each bread half, ensuring it's evenly covered for the best taste.
05 - Scatter the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan across the buttered surfaces. Make sure the cheese goes all the way to the edges.
06 - Bake the bread for 12 to 15 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles. For a crispier top, broil it for about 1–2 minutes at the end, and keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn.
07 - After baking, sprinkle chopped parsley on top for a burst of color. Slice it up and enjoy it warm.

# Notes:

01 - For some heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes with the cheese.
02 - You can switch out the cheeses for varieties like gouda or cheddar.
03 - Want to save time? Prep the dish ahead of time and pop it in the fridge until baking.
