                Stir sugar and coffee over heat until sugar melts. Off the heat, mix in eggnog. Let it cool fully.

                Whip your heavy cream until it gets nice and stiff. Keep it aside.

                In a bowl, combine mascarpone, sugar, eggnog, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt. Gently fold in your whipped cream.

                Soak your ladyfingers in the coffee syrup, then line them up in an 8-inch dish. Spread half the filling on top.

                Layer more syrup-soaked ladyfingers and add the rest of the filling. Pipe some filling on top using a bag.

                Cover your dish up and let it chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours.

                Right before bringing it to the table, sprinkle some cocoa powder on top.
